Cool Kids Karate-do©
Cool Kids Karate-do © is a martial arts program designed specifically for children who have special needs. Although our focus is with children suffering from Autism, Aspergers and PDD we will also work with severe cases of ADD/ADHD and mild mental handicaps.
This program is a modified form of karate training designed specifically around the needs of these children. The goal is to allow these children the opportunity to participate in a fun filled course that reinforces good behavior and teaches them quality martial arts skills.
The class will be held once per week, and the class will be less than one hour. Class times will vary depending upon the students ability to remain focused.
This class is designed by 3 professional educators. Mr. Jeff Reach (Over 20 years of martial arts experience, with extensive experience working with children with special needs.) Mr. Scott Bounds (Lee County Special Education Teacher specializing in Autistic Children). Dr. Mary Kay Cassani (A doctor in Education and a professor at FGCU University.)
This program is for children age 7-12. Call our office for more information.
Note: This class is currently not in session but private lessons are available for all special needs children.
