Why should I train at USA Martial Arts Florida? USA Martial Arts Florida offers the most diverse martial arts training experience in all of Southwest Florida! Our instructors and staff are professionally trained and nationally and internationally licensed to teach the arts they teach. Our instructors maintain ongoing training including our Chief Instructor who trains multiple times each year with his direct instructor. From the white belts in class to our Chief Instructor we are all learning and growing every day. Do you teach MMA? You bet; but I require that my students learn them as individual components as opposed to just learning a bag of tricks without the full benefit of understanding. We run a traditional martial arts training facility where respect, courtesy, humility and perseverance are among the most highly regarded traits. We do not operate a gym atmosphere where people come and go as they please and work on whatever they want to work on. We have a structured curriculum, formal class plans and instructors who have been trained by me personally and are not hired for a job. For more on my thoughts about Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) please read my blog post regarding this subject here. What martial art is the best? The martial arts are a very individualistic thing and certain aspects of an art will undoubtedly attract a certain type of student. Our advice is to train in the art that gets you to class the most. The more you train in any art the better you will become, so it makes sense to enjoy the art you train in. Cost, Contracts and "Hidden Fees" At USA Martial Arts Florida we maintain a competitive tuition rate for all our programs. Our class prices are published and printed in our pricing brochure (available at our pro-shop) and we hide nothing from prospective students. You are informed from day one what you can expect to pay for any required equipment, weapons, uniforms, testings etc... Finally we NEVER use contracts. How fast will I get a Black Belt? If your just looking to get a black belt may we recommend buying one off the internet? In all seriousness this is a question we receive all the time and the answer is different for every student but on average someone can expect to earn their first degree black belt in 3-5 years. Each rank in our youth and adult programs is earned. Students are expected to train both in and out of class and to learn the required information before testing. In addition we have minimum numbers of classes and time in rank requirements for each rank. What styles do you teach? We have the widest variety of styles in all of Lee County Florida. Currently we offer Aikido, Aiki-Judo, Iaido, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-do, Kobudo, Shintaiwa, and Tae Kwon Do. Our Chief Instructor Jeff Reach Shihan-Dai is a certified Black Belt instructor in all arts taught at our center. Where are you located? We have two locations, both in Lehigh Acres Florida. Our primary location is in the heart of Lehigh Acres at 1111 Homestead Rd. N. Our secondary location is at the Veterans Park Recreation Center at 55s Homestead Rd. |
